A LIFESAVING STORY
USCCA Member Lauren Conner was running errands when she noticed an incident developing nearby. She realized the police were trying to break the window of a parked vehicle – its driver was clearly in urgent need of medical care.
One of the officers tried pounding on the car’s window, and even struck it several times with a baton, but to no avail… Lauren then heard the officer call out to his partner, asking if he had anything else that could help.
A lightbulb suddenly went off – Lauren had her USCCA Tactical Pen! She quickly walked over and offered it to them. One “POP!” from the pen and the officers were inside the vehicle and able to render lifesaving aid. She couldn’t believe how effortlessly it was able to shatter the car’s window…
what would you do?
The situation described above is one of many that you could realistically encounter in your daily life. Be prepared to meet the moment with a USCCA Tactical Pen!
TEMPS ARE RISING
How many tragic stories have you heard about children and pets* being forgotten in the back seat of a vehicle?
EMERGENCY EXIT
Have you been in a car accident? How would you escape if your vehicle rolled over, landed in water, or caught on fire?
HARMLESS UNTIL ITS NOT
There are plenty of places you’re not permitted to carry your firearm, but what about a backup self-defense option?
*Consult your local Good Samaritan laws for state specifics and approved use cases.

The only problem I see with this pen or that it’s lacking is that it would be great if it did have the flashlight feature on this pen like the one that comes with the survival kit that I got when I signed up to be a member.
Josh.
ps it had that feature I probably buy three or four because you can’t have too many flashlights and pens And also a way to break a window if need be I would probably share with family and friends. This is the main reason why I give this review a one if you add a flashlight option on to this I’ll give it a five star in no time

I just saw theTatical Pen advertised a few days ago. I liked the fact that it was both a stylus window breaker and usable pen. It came today and I was pleasantly surprised at how hefty it is. The pen is about 6” long with the stylus end exposed. The clip on the top is exceptionally long to give it good grip on your pocket. You unscrew the top to expose the black ballpoint pen and screw the top back on with the ballpoint exposed. It writes black and it appears to be a fine point. The pen writes smoothly. It came with an extra black refill. The Tactical pen has significant size to make it a good defensive weapon. Long enough with enough girth to get a good grip. The ballpoint writes well. I will have this with me as part of my EDC. I have a micro stream light + a Benchmade. I definitely got my money’s worth in this Tactical Pen + it has the USCCA logo. 👍🙏🇺🇸

The cap screws on to cover the pen end well, but when you try to screw it on the “business end” it is wobbly and crooked. The pen writes OK, nothing special. It comes in a gift box with a spare ink refill, but the box has a strong chemical smell. Overall, it’s pretty much what you would expect from something Made in China. I would probably not buy this again, but if USCCA offered a similar product that was Made in the USA, I would definitely consider it.

I think the pen is great. It is solid and sturdy as a tactical pen should be. It writes smoothly with the Parker type cartridge. There is no wiggling when the cap is screwed on on either side. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this pen.

I like the design and looks of this pen but it has a huge problem, it will write about 5 or 6 words and than runs out of ink if you wait 10 or 15 minutes it might write a few more words. The refill does the same thing, Must be the ink is very old. I know have to carry 2 pens to do the job 1 should do. Good thing I have a NRA pen that was free that really does write. Would be nice if USCCA would check this problem out.

I like this pen. First of all, it looks good and has the USCCA Logo (of course I like that, I’m a member – duh). The glass breaker is always good to have and the pen becomes a weapon if need be. The cap screws on smoothly to cover the pen and also screws smoothly on the other end when using the pen. The pen writes smoothly and refills will be easy to obtain. The price is good for this quality of a pen. What’s not to like?

The case of my pen is fine so far however neither of the Parker cartridges were dependable for writing which was very disappointing. I found a gel cartridge which has worked much better. When you factor in another $6 cartridge it gets pretty expensive.
Brendan (verified owner) –
Pretty sturdy pen. I have seen better tactical pens, but for a lot more. The pen writes well. For the price, this is a very good tactical pen. Wish it was USA made

Been looking to purchase a tactical pen glass breaker and went with this purchase to support USCCA/Delta Defense for there fine work. This tactical pen is a excellent choice if your looking for a solid tactical pen.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great addition to my EDC. Been wanting a glass breaker and defensive pen and this satisfies both. Solid build. Does not wiggle around for me. The pen is very high quality and the length of it does give you a good grip. The pen clip isn’t wimpy like some others I’ve seen so not worried about it coming loose. Very happy with my purchase.

I like it. I teach school, therefore can’t carry a concealed handgun at work, but I CAN carry a pen.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I like the pen, but I can’t carry it at work, because I work in a detention facility. It doesn’t look like a regular pen. However, I could put it in my glove box. I will certainly do that, and I love the fact that it has a glass-break feature. I hope I never need it.

I have used the pen daily for about a week and it is my primary pen at the office. It writes smoothly, is comfortable and is easy to grip. It is built solid enough to use as a weapon if needed and as a tool to break glass as well. Overall, I am pleased and may buy a couple for gifts.

This tactical pen is great to stick in your pants pocket. My wife carries hers in her purse. The pen uses easily replaceable ink cartridges. The glass breaking stylus, while I hope to never need it, appears to be strong yet it does not poke you while in your pants pocket. The stylus will also be a great defense weapon if the need were to present itself and you are to close to protect yourself with your firearm. Get one for every member of your household and few for friends.

The tactical pen is very nice and smoothly to write. I’m very happy thank you

This pen is well made. It fits my hand well and is comfortable. Like the flat top for control, and the contours of the body help with grip. The pen writes well.
I would like to see a stronger tread for the cap. Maybe a couple more threads for strength.

Good job! The Tactical Pen has everything I expected when I ordered it. Good solid construction, and it’s an excellent value for the potential emergency possibilities it addresses.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
It’s a good “pen” which certainly does not look like a weapon–which is the whole Idea. I like it because I CAN carry it where I am not allowed to carry my gun and/or switchblade–like in some shopping malls (which I avoid), churches, schools, and the all too many “gun free zones”

I bought two, separately… one for my wife and one for me.
We both had issues with the pen itself. the ink cartridge’s including the spares in both boxes skip while writing. that may work itself out over time… but not so far. also in the second pen, the spare ink cartridge leaked in the box.
as far as the tactical features, it is sturdy, and likely to do the job it is intended to do should that need arise.

I carry my pen in my vehicle every day and on my body when I am carrying my pistol. I like the grip and size and it lays nice in my cup holder for easy grasp.

These were a gift and the recipients were very pleased with them.

A decent “tactical” pen as far as tactical pens go. Other than writing it might be useful inflicting a defensive puncture wound (if for some reason you can’t deploy your folding knife you always carry ????). Or breaking glass. Something that just doesn’t come up very often. It’s a nice writing instrument but there’s nothing tactical about it or any other pen.
BK (verified owner) –
I really love this pen! It is probably one of the smoothest writing pens I’ve ever had. It’s balanced and easy to grip. I have yet to use the tactical aspect of it, but I’m sure it is just as good!
Thomas (verified owner) –
It’s a heavy pen that will probably be put in my truck console and hopefully there if needed for the purpose of its intent thought it would been little stronger, but it should work.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I love the tactical pen because it’s exactly what it’s described as – a tactical pen – and I always carry it on me. The pen is a rock solid metal body unit that will break glass with the tip, write as a pen when unscrewed, perform as a self-defense aid in one’s hand if needed when there’s no other option to choose from, and can be carried everywhere – a perfect choice!
Michael (verified owner) –
good pen for what it is but a little overpriced maybe given that it doesn’t have a pen light as others that I’ve purchased at the same price point. Still will bear it proudly and I bought a few to give to friends as gift
Anonymous (verified owner) –
The pen is ok. I prefer the pens I already carry as they will write in rain, snow, and at any angle. Thankfully, it came with a refill because the ink that was in the pen when I received it was already dry and needed replaced. I like that I have a glass breaker that I can easily carry on my person; especially for my job as a security officer. I haven’t needed to use that function, but by the weight of the pen I think it will do the job when the opportunity arises.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
The Tactical Pen is an appropriate “option” in the event that you must go to an area where carrying a conventional weapon is banned.
it is quite inconspicuous as a potential weapon and will most likely not raise suspicion about it’s possible use.
I am completely satisfied with it.
Manny J (verified owner) –
Its a great pen, its part of my EDC, fits in my pocket but I do agree that it would be much better with light capabilities.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I like it. Not as fancy as some but it is simpler in design and function. Better to have than not.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Very nice quality item. Very functional tactical point and quality writing implement.
Anonymous –
I would have to say the “tactical end”. Looks good but not overly impressed on the pen side, but not why I have it!
Michael Lee (verified owner) –
As described. Applicable to breaking glass or inflicting puncture wounds. The ink pen is quite utilitarian. Good construction.
Jon (verified owner) –
This pen is junk. The other tactical pen that came with my membership is a beefy tactical pen.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I love the pen but I agree this pen should have the flashlight on it.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Best Tactical Pen I’ve used. Smooth writing and gotta represent USCCA. Love the Glass Breaker.
GLEN (verified owner) –
love my Tactical pen, works great
Laura (verified owner) –
Great design, easy to hold, looks like a normal pen
Heidi (verified owner) –
It works well, both as a pen and as a discrete tactical back-up. But even minimal light capabilities (without a huge price increase!) would be more desirable
Curtis (verified owner) –
Nice way to have some backup that looks like a pen. Just carry it and you are good to go.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great pen
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Great pen I love it goes everywhere with me got one for my wife they’re perfect.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Love love love this pen! Sleek, stylish, writes well, and nobody ever suspects that it has a dual function. Carry it with me everywhere!
Anonymous –
I carry this on my person at all times and sadly had the use it in a defensive situation. A hard blow to the sternum with the pointy end was enough to make him back off. The pen isn’t anything spectacular and I don’t present it for common use. To me it’s the same as my carry, a tool to present only when I intend to use it and something I would not go without.
Bruce (verified owner) –
I decided to test this going through TSA.
They conficated it at Mitchell Field in Milwaukee.
Said it was a pointy object and therefor, not allowed. I have heard of people who fly with a tactical pen regularly without problem. Not sure if it is the design of this pen (too pointy)? I am sure the TSA agent will carry it now!
Micah (verified owner) –
the glass breaker tip fell out of the socket after 1 week. The tactical pen is now a regular pen.
Tim Damico –
I’m very sorry to hear about this, Micah! I just sent you. an email so that we can help replace this for you!

Hello USCCA Store ! Do you sell a replacement cartridge for the tactical pen ?
